Solution
One guest account, every outlet on the property
A hotel already runs an internal account per stay — that is what a room charge is. Putting it in the guest's phone as a Wallet card makes it usable at the spa, the restaurant and the bar without a key card, a signature or a folio lookup.
Updated
At a glance
- Account
- One per stay, closed at checkout
- Outlets
- Restaurant, bar, spa, shop, room service
- Identification
- Wallet card on the guest's own phone
- Settlement
- Per outlet, reconciled to the folio
Updated
What it replaces
A key card used as an identity token, which works until the guest leaves it in the room and the outlet has to ring reception.
A signed chit that has to be typed into the folio later, which is where most of the hospitality reconciliation effort actually goes.
A prepaid package sold at check-in that nobody can check the balance of without asking.
- The guest sees the remaining balance in their own phone, at any time.
- Each outlet settles separately, so a leased restaurant is not inside the hotel's accounts.
- Prepaid packages, deposits and gift certificates all run on the same card.
How a stay runs
- 01
Card issued at check-in
By QR at the desk, or sent ahead by email with the booking confirmation.
- 02
Funded per the booking
A prepaid package, a deposit, a credit limit, or nothing until the guest tops up.
- 03
Spent across the property
Restaurant, bar, spa and shop, on the terminals those outlets already have.
- 04
Closed at checkout
The balance is settled to the folio and the card expires with the stay.
