Benefits that are spent, not reimbursed

A reimbursement is a benefit the employee funds first and argues about later. A benefit balance on a Wallet card is money that is already theirs to spend, inside rules that are checked before the payment goes through rather than after the receipt arrives.

  • No expense claims
  • Limits enforced at the till
  • One card, several budgets

What disappears

The expense claim. Nobody photographs a receipt, nobody approves it, and nobody waits for payroll to reimburse it next month.

The argument about eligibility. A purchase outside the rules does not get made, so there is no awkward conversation about whether it should be paid.

The float the employee was carrying. A benefit that requires the employee to spend their own money first is not much of a benefit to the people who most need it.

  • Several budgets can sit on one card, each with its own rules.
  • Unused balance expires or rolls over, per programme.
  • Reporting is per employee, per category and per period, without collecting receipts.
